This tournament is extra special to this League City Impact team. Not only do we get to play great baseball with friends, but all the money earned is used to support childhood cancer.
Joseph Fleming was diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (liver cancer) on July 22, 2016 and passed away October 30, 2016. The mission of this tournament is to promote children's cancer awareness and research as well as to raise funds to be distributed as financial assistance for families of children undergoing cancer treatment in the Gulf Coast area.
Last year, Joseph’s mom explained how special it is to play this great sport they love and that at the end of day, win or lose, another game can be played. We are honored to sit amongst this warrior of a woman and thankful to the village that makes Joseph's Warriors possible.
The boys played their hearts out this weekend going 5-1 playing up in 12U and bringing home the gold in the Championship.
